  1. One day Micheal Heneghan of Cordaragh was at a funeral. He went to a dance that night and when he was coming home he passed by Jack's bush on the new line. When he passed it he called out Jack for fight. He (cal) went as quick as he could and he could not speak until he reached the house. He heard a step coming all the time behind him. He never went near that bush from that day to this.
Jack's Bush is a "lone bush" on the side of the Westport - Leenane road, nearly a mile on the Westport side of Carrowkennedy School, parish of Aughagower.
