- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)school. The poem is as follows:-They're gone and forever
The Days of my childhood
The dear days of innocence, frolic and fun
When I went birdnesting
And roamed through the green fields
of old Lisnagon.Where are they now - the old friends and true ones
Where are they now - the old friends that are gone
The days when I studied not much I may tell you
And played with the gorsoons at the old Cloghan School. The teacher was kind but it's often I wondered
How at all he managed those youngsters to rule
For in Erin, there wasn't or isn't
A wilder set than went to the old School SchoolWe fought when at playtime and soused in the river
Ran off for crab apples; returned at two
We broke down the walls and the bridge at Mulvany's
But never was one of us mean or untrue(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Faisnéiseoir
