  1. Told by Cissie Duffy, Collinstown, Clara.
A man from Clashawaun called Connor who is always roaming the hills saw a little red man in Erryarmstrong. He is over 40 years of age and half-mad.
John Fehan of Raheen saw two headless horsemen. He had two dogs with him and next mornig the dogs were dead.
De vaney's house of the New Road has a fairy. There is a crack in a pane of glass in the window and no matter how often it is mended the crack is still there.
There is a lone bush with a ring of stones round it in the hills and fairies are supposed to dance there. Mary Sheridan saw a little red man there (see p. 119)
There is a black man seen on the Bridge on the New Road. ( I have heard of this from several but no from anyone who really saw him).
There is a monk see at Drayton Villa.
Tras-scríofa ag duine dár meitheal tras-scríbhneoirí deonacha.
