Clothes Made Locally
Clothes are made o cover our bodies. In summer time we need very light clothes. Our clothes are made by a man called a tailor. Cloth is not woven in this district. Some tailors stock their own cloth so as to be ready to sell them. Some tailors travel round the country making clothes for the people. The names of some tailors are John McCabe, Peter Cave, Dick Pender, Pat Pender, Jack Deegan, Jim Troy, and Hugh Digan. There are many old people make clothes and who knit socks. They are Mrs Quinn, Molly Donlon, Mrs Dwyer and Mrs Byrne, and Mrs Behan.
