Old Crafts
Tullamore was known all over Ireland long ago for lime stone quarries.
The people long ago made their own candles out of grease and rushes and the candles were called half-penny dips. Long ago the people gathered goat skins and cow skins, and brought the skins to Tanyard to be made into leather.
Tullamore is known for its manufacture of whiskey, and the making of barrells. The place where the whiskey was made is called the Distillery, and the whiskey is now getting made there again.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
