  1. There are four tailors in my district, and their names are Patrick Farrell, Hugh Creegan, Pat Sheils, and Matt Gormley. They work in their own homes they never go about to the houses. Some of the tailors stock clothes. Very little cloth is spun and woven locally. The people do not wear the clothes that are made locally they buy them in the shop. The types of cloth that are used are tweed and serge. I know no sayings or traditions connected with tailors or tailoring. The implements a tailor uses are a machine, a thimble, a tape an iron, a needle and a scissors. The shirts are mostly made in the homes by the woman of the house. The shirts are made of flannette. There are no accounts of shirts or cloth been made locally from flax. The socks are nearly all knitted locally. The thread is not spun in the
