- There was an old castle in Woodville about two miles from Kells.
Long ago Mr. Plunkett lived there. He had a wife and three sons and a white horse. One day Cromwell asked him and his three sons to meet him at a certain place. Mr. Plunkett used to ride on the white horse everywhere so he and his three sons rode with him to meet Cromwell but no one returned but the white horse.
Cromwell gave the place to Mr Woodworth after that. Mr Woodworth sold it to Mr Nicholson and he knocked the castle.
