   Glorious hunting we had at old Clondegad
   Where we enlarged at Paddy King's Hill
   A Great many were there from all parts of Clare
   To join in the capture or kill

   Willie Hynes of Goureen brought out the "Borhereen"
   Good hounds to take part in the sport
   With "Doab" who could slip away as his whip
   After taking some glasses of port.

   Frank Whitstone and Ryan were eager to shine
   At Whitsone's stronghold that day
   But alas! they both failed, and on Gavin sailed.
   To the front on his good little bay.

   The family of Moran were never forlorn
   When hounds were running to score
   Then you had Martin & Pad with Mike and their Dad
   Great sportsmen were those of Clonmore.

   And now for the runners they were regular stunners
