  1. O Angel of God to whose care I am commmited, by supreme clemency enlighten me this night from all sin and danger. O God the Father bless me. O Jesus Christ defend and keep me. The virtue of the Holy Ghost enlighten and sanctify me. this night and forever. Into the hands of the Lord I commend my spirit. Lord Jesus receive my soul.
    [three lines left blank]
When I lie on this bed to sleep
I give my soul to God to keep
If I die before I wake
I give my soul to God to take
If any evil thing comes over me
    O Blessed Lady waken me
There are four corners in my bed
    Four Angels in them spread
God bless me in this bed I lie on. Amen.
