  1. About a mile south of Lissycasey Post Office in the townland of Gortygeeheen is a lake called "baile na glas." It was said that horses used come out of it long ago.
    One day a certain man went to see if he could get one of them as he was badly in the need of one.
    As he went across the field near the lake he saw the horses grazing in the field. It was said that if you hit the horses with red earth they would wait.
    As the man drew near the wall he took a fist of red earth and hit one of them.
    At the same moment the horse stood and the man caught her and brought her home.
    She had a lot of foals which the neighbours bought. It was also said that the horses would go if they were cursed by anybody.
    One day when the man was ploughing with with the horse he cursed it
