Cows, sheep, Calves, Yearlings and Two and a halves, lambs, Ewes, Wethers, Goats and kids on the mountain and mountain sheep called Hornies, Bulls, Hens, Turkeys, Chickens, Ducks, Geese and Guinea Hens, Pigs, Horses.
Cows:- habha, habha amach (when putting out the cows) Pooh, Pooh calling to water.
Calves:- When ca;lling (Suck, Suck)
Pigs:- Hiss amach, when putting out and Deoch, Deoch when calling them in or Bach Bach to call bonhams.
Chickens:- Tioc, Tioc ag glaodhach isteach ortha. Nó chick, chick
Turkeys:- bee, bee, bee (biadh) calling the turkeys for food.
Sheep. Diff kinds are: Shrops, Suffolk, Black Face and Horns.
Guinea hens are not plentyful but there are one or two in every farmyard as they are supposed to keep away rats.
Bulls kept around here are:- Hereford, Poll Angus, Shorthorn.
Up to late years there were only about 3 or 4 bulls in the Parish and all cows were served by them on payment of a fee. But now nearly farmer or at least every two has a bull of his own.
