  1. The Mass Rock exists in Pat Punch's land Rusheen. Pat Punch is dead about 40 years but his son is living in the land. He had three sons namely: Garrett, Johnny and Pat. Johnny who was the oldest was the boss and he was pen-named Johnny the lady.
    The Mass Rock is about 90 feet above the level of the bog. During the eighteent century the celebration of Mass was strictly forbidden by the Penal Laws. Mass was celebrated in the Mass Rock. This was a very safe place, because it was far in, in the fields. At the top of the Mass Rock is a round hole. It is said that a cross is buried in this hole by a priest
    While the priest could be celebrating Mass two or three people would be on duty. When the "Red Coats" as they were called would approach they would give a signal
