    In this village about sixty years ago a man named Mr Dillon lived in a house opposte the presand National school. This house is now occupied by Mr Lynch who is a baker. Mr Dillon manufactured all sort of nails out of rodiron.

    About fifty eight years ago a cooper lived in this village. He lived in a house at the top of the street where Miss Brown resides. His name was Mr Hennessy, he manufactured barrels, firkins, churns and also timber pails for milking cows

    About twenty six years ago there was a forge in the townland (in) of Lisacrew. This forge was held by a man named Mr Picket. This man manufactured spades, pikes, shovels, harrows, gates, and alot of other iron implements
