    Near Bally-macoda in a place called Brownbog.

    Near Ballymacoda in a place called Brownbog their lived a man named Patrick Fitzgibbon, he was a farmer, and he also held a shcool.
    This school was once a dwelling house. When it was turned into a school. One room was set apart as a bedroom for the master and he slept there by night. This man was a native of the place. In the school the children wrote with chalk on a slate. This school was held fifty years ago.

    About seventy years ago their lived at the top of Cork road, a man name Griffen he held a school. This was also a dwelling house and the man was a native of Killeagh.
