This Mass rock is in the townland of Liscroneen, Ballineen, Co. Cork, about fifty yards west of the house of

Ballineen At the end of a low shale ridge there is an irregular transverse shelf, about 3 or 4 feet long, 4 feet wide, and two feet high, at its highest. In front the ground is fairly level over an area of a few perches, and on either side there is a drop of 8 or ten feet to large level fields.
In this shelf, near the back, a Latin cross is cut.
Long shaft - 5 in. Transverse - 4 in. Width - about 2 in. Depth of cut - less than 1/4 in.
Mass is said to have been celebrated on this shelf. The bell mentioned is described as a small iron hand-bell, very much rusted. It was found about "five or six" years ago, in a bóithrín not- Faisnéiseoir
