There is a field in William Shannon's ground of Cussavina, a townland about two miles from the town of Ballydehob, which is called "Paddy's Field" It got its name from a man who lived there long ago named Paddy Donnel.
There is a field in William Mara's ground of Gurtnagrow, a townland of about three miles from Ballydehob, which is called "The Inch". At one side of it there is a river and on the other sides there is a hill, and therefore it it like an island, and from this it got its name.
