- There are several lonesome places in this part of the country. There is one situated two fields down from our house. It is called "Clais a Mhilín". One night there was a man walking to his neighbour's house, and as he was coming home, he heard somebody throwing stones into a deep hole that is in the middle of this field.
Another night the same man was going for another walk. His two sons were playing football when he left the house. When it was getting late they left the field, because they saw a man coming towards them. When their father was coming home he met the same man. The man who was coming from walking walked up towards the stranger, and when he came near him, the stranger disappeared, and the next day he heard his brother was dead in America.
