- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)taught by my grandfather and the fiddler was Michael Foley locally known as "Bunker". My father and uncles and aunts were all excellent step-dancers but they say there is not much thought of step-dancing in Glenbeigh today. My grandfather was teaching the Irish dances in the Convent in Killarney about thirty two years ago. The best Irish dancers (came) in the County Kerry came from the townland of Droum in Glenbeigh. I will now give the names of a few of the good old Irish dancers, my grandfather John Riordan, Batt Sheáin Sullivan and Tadhg Sheáin brothers. Máirtín Ó Brosnacháin, Patsie Burke, Gerry and Murty Moriarty, all of Droum, also Paddy Shea of Runalagane and Jack Grady of Keelnabrack. They have all gone to their reward. Go ndeinidh Dia trócaire ar a n-anamnach go léir.
My father Batt Riordan of Droum told me all this.
