- At present Mr. Fennelly, Galmoy is the only tailor in the parish. He works in his own house. Long ago tailors went from house to house. The cloth was then woven by the people. Serge and Irish tweed are mostly used. The tailor seats himself on a high. He uses a thimble without a top, a needle, and a pair of scissors. To press the Suit he uses a large pressing iron known as the goose and he presses on a pressing board.
