    When people changed into a new house, they never took the cat. It was thought if they did, they would have great misfortune.
    When people hatch eggs, they shake holy water on them, so that they may be lucky with them.
    People always sprinkle Holy-water on potato-seed, before they take them out to be sown, to bless their growth.
    On May Day, people in some places take out a bucket of Holy-water, and bless all their crops, their stock and their fowl.
    People keep a piece of Palm from one Palm Sunday to the next.
    On St. Bridget's Night, people make Crosses in honour of St Bridget, and they keep them hanging up till that night twelve months.
