- Many old ruins are to be seen around Blennerville and its district. To the east of my house stands the ruins of old stores. It is said in ancient days wheat was stored in these ruins. The ruins of a fine old wind-mill to be seen there. It is made of Limestone, all the land around Blennerville. A man by the name of Shea had a lime killn when limestone was plentiful. At the top of our village stands an old Protestant Church. The walls are yet standing, but the inside is all rat-eaten. The big bell was there up to a few years ago, when a Parson came and took it away. Every New Year's Night that bell could be heard tolling for miles around it, until lately.
