- There are many graveyards scattered all over Ireland which remind us of the heroes and warriors of the past. There is a grave at Heapstown. It is said that a man named Ollid was buried there. At the present day there is a huge heap of stones to be seen there. People say that this man was a chieftain who lived in the fourth century.
There is also a grave at Doomeveeragh which is in the townland of Mullaghfarma. It is said that there was a battle fought at place once. Before the battle there was a priest praying on top of a rock and when the soldiers were coming he got afraid. He fell down and was killed.
There is also a graveyard at Aughannagh beside Ballinafad. Long ago there was a church there and it is said that it was St Patrick that built it. There are a number of graves(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
