There used to be a bed in the corner of the kitchen called a pouch bed. The people always had the fire at the gable, they never had it on the (the) middle of the floor. The people used to have only one window in the house and no glass in it, they used to have mats and bags in the window in place of the glass. Turf and wood was what they mostly used.
