    that there is treasure to be found in our forth. They say that the treasure is a big pot of gold. No one has ever tried to get the treasure. It is situated in the townlanad of Curry, and in the parish of Geevagh. It is in the county Sligo. It is in the very middle of the forth, and it is surrounded by a ditch and a cluster of bushes. There is a big tree growing over it. There is supposed to be an eel watching it, and any person who would try to get the pot of gold the eel would make for them. There is a cave leading out from the treasure, and the eel comes out of this cave every night. The cave leads from the forth to a ditch which surrounds the field.

  2. I have heard of a hidden treasure being placed in our land. It is about ten yards from the house, in the middle of the garden; it is the shape of an altar. It is situated in the direction of the West. It is supposed to be a wild cat that is minding it. It is supposed that the cat lives in a rock under the road, in the townland of Carrownadargney, in the parish of Geevagh, and in the county Sligo. People have often seen lights standing beside it. I have never heard of anyone proposing to search for it. A pot of gold that is supposed to be in it. It is situated
