When any woman would ask him what time is was, he used to say "Past twelve o clock ma'am nothing like the health ma'am" no matter what time of day it was.
Paddy Ryan who was a white-washer was often called "Paddy the Whitewasher". He went from house to house, whitewashing them for sixpence.
Randy Mac Donall was a trades man, and at last he became silly and he made his own coffin and he used to sleep in it. Tom Mac Grail was another beggar man and he used to gather old rags.
There was another man called Gobberlue who went around gathering bottles, and then he would bring them to some town and sell them. His Christen name was John Horal.
