- Boxty-bread was made from black potatoes mostly. The potatoes were scraped with a piece of tin with holes in it
The tin was fastened to a board. It was scraped into a basin. When it was scraped it was put into a cloth and sqeezed in order to sqeeze out the water from it.
When it was sqeezed it was mixed with either oat-meal or flour. Then it was baked in a griddle.- Collector
