- I visited an old man one day. I asked him to tell me about any old house that was burned long ago. His name is Philip Gill. He told me about a house being burnt in Balleighan. One time a woman and her two children went to bed at night. When the morning came this poor woman and her two children were burned to death. The house had gone on fire during the night while she was sleeping. She left clothes on a chair at the fire . The clothes had fallen into the fire and set the house on fire. It was discovered in the morning when everything had been burnt.Margaret Gillen
