  1. One night there were two men and they were coming home from a fair. Just when they were coming up at Lisearney Bridge what came out after them but a little man with a big white cap on his head and a lamp in his other hand. Then the men took to their heels but fast as they ran, the little man kept up to them.
    Then Paddy said to Jack " let us take across to the mountains and make a short cut home". Just then the little man disappeared and when they went home they were not able to speak. When they recovered from their fright, they told their people about the strange little man they had seen. I heard this story from Mary Berry Lanmore, Lisearney P.Office, Westport.
