  1. Returning from a wake
    One night a man was coming from a wake by himself. When he was about a mile from his own house at a very lonesome spot he thought he heard walls falling and it got very dark also. He kept coming along the road not knowing what place to put his foot. When he was just passing a gap what ran out before him but a man dressed in white clothes. He got very much afraid then. The man kept walking along with him until he came to an old house where no one was living and then he suddenly disappeared. The
