by St Patrick. There is a flag in front of the well and there is a track in the flag which is said to be the track of St Patrick's knee.
When he was going to the reek he passed through Lankill and he also blessed a well there. When he reached the Reek he found that he had his prayer - book left in Aughagower. He did not want to go for it because it was handed from one to another until it reached St Patrick. He spent forty days on the Reek and then he returned to Aughagower and blessed it. He wished to remain in Aughagower but he had more people to convert.
