    were able to throw the stone to the mark. The best stone thrower was a boy called John Keane of Ballinlough. He never missed throwing the stone to the mark.
    Another great game of theirs was running. They would set ups a big starting post and five hundred yards away they would have the winning post. They would all stand in a straight line across. One would give the start by saying
    One to be ready,
    Two to be steady,
    And three to be off.
    And off with them then about forty of them them all
