    French. There was another man named Gibbons who lived in Drumin and he was hanged in Mill Street for the same thing. There is a flag up at the back of the Technical School in memory of him.
    There was another man named Fitzgerald who lived in Castlebar who cheered for the French when they came to Ireland. He got a reprieve from Dublin and Denis Brown had the reprieve in his pocket and yet he hung him. When he was hanging him the rope broke and he got another rope and it broke again. Then he got a third rope and it broke again. The rope broke
