  1. Stealing Trees
At Springfield near Williamstown in Co. Galway two men went to a small wood to steal small trees. A huge man appeared to them and they got afraid but after awhile the got courage and went to steal the trees. But when they did they heard a voice in the sky saying 'I will tell my Pa, Pa'. so they did not take the trees and went away out of the wood. They went astray for three miles. Some one of their neighbours got them and brought them home. They were got sitting on top of a thatched house after they had crossed rivers and lakes and mountains and bogs.
