  1. There are two forges in the parish one in Doohamlet and one in Shean. Morgan works in the one at Doohamlet and Barney Cawfield works in the one in Shean. Their people have been smiths for many years. Their father had been smiths before them. One of the forges is situated at a crossroad, and the other is situated on the road side. There is an iron roof on Moran's forge and a wooden roof on Caulfields forge. The doors have no special shape. The bellows are made from wood they are blown by moving a stick up and down. They are bought in the shops.
