  2. There was a hedge school in the townland of Tonnyglasson. It was called Ballintea school. The school was out in a field in the Summer time and indoors in the winter time. A man named Master Gray was the teacher. He lodged with the pupils' parents.
    He remained for twenty years int he school. He got no pay only presents from the pupils and the parents.
