- Starch is made by peeling potatoes and grating the inside of the potatoes and putting them into a bowl of lukewarm water. Then leave it to cool and it hardens and it becomes starch.
- Long ago people used to make their own soap. They used to make it with tallow and soda. They used to boil the tallow and mix the soda through it. Then put it into a mould to cool, then take it out to dry.
