and some years ago they did not get married on Wednesdays, but of late years they do.
Some people would not cut their hair, or manicure their nails on a Friday, and some men would not care to shave on that day either.
I have often heard a rhyme about sneezing on the different days of the week. -
    Sneeze on a Monday
    Sneeze for a letter,
    Sneeze on a Tuesday
    Sneeze for something better,
    Sneeze on a Wednesday
    Sneeze for danger,
    Sneeze on a Thursday
    You will meet a stranger,
    Sneeze on a Friday
    Sneeze for sorrow,
    Sneeze on a Saturday
    You'll meet your best friend
    to morrow.
There is also another rhyme about the birth of children on the different days of the week. -
Monday's child is fair of face
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is loving and giving
