  1. Once upon a time there lived a man in this parish and he had but one son.
They were a very odd pair and never corresponded with any of their neighbours.
The father got sick and he called his son to his bedside and said my dear son I fear I am about to die and I want to know if you will carry out my wishes with regard to a request I am about to make of you.
The son promised if possible he would have his dying wishes carried out.
Well said the old man the night of my wake get a few gallons of the worst whiskey and give six or seven glasses to every man so that there will be rows that will be remembered while pussy is a cat.
If you do not do that there will never be a word more about me.
