  1. Once upon a time there lived a man and woman in an old house.
    One day the man before going to his work told the woman that he would be in, in about an hour for his tea.
    In olden times the people usually would go out to work for some time before they would eat their breakfast.
    The woman got ready his tea but in a wrong way.
    She put a whole pound of tea in the teapot and the boiling water.
    She left it there until it was drew and when drew the silly woman went and turned out the water and kept the leaves for the hard working man's breakfast.
    When then man came in he was so angry that he was going to kill the woman, then he said. I will give you another chance and let you have my dinner early.
    "Boil bacon and cabbage and have it for one"
    She got bacon and cut several pieces of it and boiled it.
    When it was boiled she went and put a slice on every head of cabbage in the garden
