Very often especially in the summer...

Very often especially in the Summer season a deposit may be found in the fields, the bogs or road resembling frog spawn, minus the black dots. The old people called this a fallen-star, or a star that had fallen the night before. It consists of a large jelly like mass, much resembling broken [?] in appearance (I cannot account for it).
