   Sean Fort. In the townland of Egrimush in the parish of CastleTara. It is about 30 yds. in circumference with big tall trees growing in it. There are many stories partaining to this fort. One day two farmers were talking about their crops and one man said to the other, "I have no seed oats or potatoes to put in the ground," "I'll tell you what to do" said the other, go to "Sean Fort" and say; I don't know the devil what I'll do for seed." So this day he went and repeated the words he had been thought. Suddently the devil popped up beside him and said, "I'll give you seed but you must sow it at night and when the crop is dug out I must get the half of it. When the man went home it was about four o'clock P.M. and he went out to the field. To his surprise there were two big bags of seed oats there. Then he began to sow them after sunset, and when he was half-ways through the field he found chains rattling behind him and when he looked there was the devil harrowing the oats with a blazing hot harrow.
