This is another story of 'Profit'
There was a neighbour called Darby Larry who one morning came on a woman skimming the dew in a certain field + at the same time crooning a tune in Irish. Darby answered with another rhyme in Irish also. Then he said "Lets go halves" "No, take all" she said + went off. Miss O'Connor doesn't know the rhymes.

  2. The following are local cures
Toothache . Put a frog alive in your mouth
Diphteria . Put the child under the donkey's body three times
Warts . Get a paper + a stone. Put the paper on the stone + rub the wart on the paper and throw all away. The first person who touches the stone will get the warts and they will leave you
Whooping Cough . Boil a frog and mix sugar with it + drink the juice
Sore Throat . Drink the juice of dandelion
