  1. The following occurred back in 1828
    Three men - two brothers Kinsella and one Sinnott in the late Autumn of that year set out for Wexford from Bvaldon in a fishing cot with a cargo of barley in sacks. When they arrived at Wexford Har. the sea had become rough and they were afraid to venture through the dangerous shoal water.
    A schooner Love in sight making for Wexford + offered to tow them in for a gallon of whiskey and it was refused. They said they'd give the captain of the schooner an ounce of tobacco.
    They put the cot about + made for home the sea getting worse every minute. Just as theywere opposite B.valdon Gap their boat was capsized in sight of all the neighbours, their bodies were washed ashore + their graves + date of incident are in Bvaldon Graveyard.
