  1. Graveyards of this Parish.
    (1) The Graveyards at present in use - one surrounding the Church and the other quite recently added now called "the New Cemetery. In the older place there are some large slaps of slate lying flat, some of them much cracked.
    Graveyards in use for a very long time + now practically disused -
    (1) Killila, Ballyvaldon, Ballyvaloo and Castle Ellis
    In Killila graveyard there are many old tombstones e.g.
    Mary Martin departed this life 1208
    William Murphy died Feb. 20th 1715
    Alies Stafford died Jan 2nd 1789
    Richard Geoghagan died Feb 13th 1768
    This graveyard is situated down a narrow lane opposite Cipín Lane on a bare grass field on the farm of Michael Davis Blackwater.
    It is rectangular in shape, surrounded by a high stone wall.
    There is a little vault in it in which the coffins were laid on the floor.
    It is built of granite + on a marble square just above the door is the inscription "Talbot + Ffrench",
    There is no date on this marble
