The name of my Home District is Rathcline and the parish is Rathcline also. Most of the houses are slated and thatched and some are tiled. Rathcline got its name from the fort called atacliodhna. There are about seventeen houses in the townland and the number of people being about one hundred. There are two old people in the district James Scally, and Mary Fallon. They can tell stories in English. The first name and address is James Scally, Rathcline, Lanesboro', Co Longford, and Mary Fallon, Rathcline, Lanesboro, Co Longford. There is the ruins of an old castle built in the seventeenth century. Long ago people used to go to America. The land of Rathcline is hilly and rocky. There is good land in parts of the townland. There is two woods in the district one is called Jeoffrey's wood and the other is James Scally. There are about ten acres under bog.
