    stream, and the two of them fought from the stream to the Barrack all day, and Sarsfield was getting the worst of it and turned back and stood on the road. His valet said to him "Did your mother suckle you on one side only." and Sarsfield taking the clue changed his sword from his right hand to his left, and when trying to strike Bal, the sword struck Bal's reins and cut it; Bal's horse reared up, and as Bal was falling Sarsfield cut his head off, and left Bal in his gore, and that is how Ballinagore got its name.
