    Water is poured in to wash the butter down off the sides of the churn. The butter is lifted out of the churn with two butter hands. There are no stories about churning in our district. The buttermilk is used to make cakes or to drink and is given to pigs.

  2. We have a churn at home. The height of our churn is eighteen inches, and it is thirteen inches in diameter; the sides of the churn are straight. Our churn is a year and half old. The various parts of our churn are:- the lid, the plug, the screws, the handle and the ventilator.
