- There are four roads leading to Tyrrellspass. One coming from Dublin one going to Athlone one to Mullingar & to Tore. Roads are the usual way of travelling nowadays. All the roads around Tyrrellspass are steam rolled & tarred. There is a lot of traffic on these roads especially the Dublin road. The Dublin road is very important because it is the main road from Dublin to Galway this road is very smooth & nice to travel in a motor car. This road always went through Tyrrellspass some say & others say it did not. The old stage coach went on this road long ago when it was travelling. The road to Mullingar is very good & you can see a lot of fine scenery for instance the lake where the king of the Danes was drowned & beautiful demesnes.
