He stooped down to catch the ball but what was it but a human skull. He threw it from him and ran home. His wife was in bed before him. When he went to bed he was telling his wife the story and she said she always told him not to be out late at night. Before he had the story finished the cock flew down into the room and he jumped into the bed and began crowing. His wife caught the man as he caught a stick to strike
