Farrankeal is supposed to have been a land mark in the time of the Danes. There is another in Gullane, Gneeveguilla, another in Umeraboy and another in Glountán and each is about a field from the road and they are all about three miles apart. They are all in one straight line from Glountán through Umeraboy Farrankeal and Gullane and in many other places.(continues on next page)
